FixTheFunnel was born out of an experience we had in Las Vegas at a high level Real Estate Agent Mastermind.
In the room were 20 agents who were making strong investments in direct response marketing and as a result generating a lot of phone calls.
While most all of them were converting enough each month to net them a positive ROI, the numbers just didn’t add up.
Ryan asked a very pointed question, “What is your process when you receive a new lead?”
As each member of the mastermind answered the question, it became painfully obvious that 19 of the 20 didn’t have any substantial process for following up on a lead.
“I call them and if I don’t get a hold of them or they don’t list or set an appointment to come in, they’re dead to me”
“I call them twice and if I don’t reach them, then I move on. I have a list of them in a notebook, but I haven’t had time to look at them for a while…too many new calls”
ONE of the 20 had a system which he admitted wasn’t followed nearly as well as he would like.
When we returned to San Diego we started racking our brains. “What’s the answer?” we asked. How can we make following up so brain dead simple we won’t put it off. How do we make it so independent that it can almost operate on it’s own?
Out of those discussions and several attempts to marry technology to the solutions we came up with, FixTheFunnel was born.

Ryan Chapman is co-founder of Market Genius, the parent company of Short Sale Genius and FixTheFunnel.com.
Most of his time is spent writing sales copy, developing sales funnels and directing development of Market Genius’ online tools.
Ryan is the proud father of six children and happily married to Wonder Woman.
A native of San Marcos, California, Ryan has always considered Southern California as close to heaven on earth as you can get.
Trent Chapman is co-founder of Market Genius, which is the parent company of Short Sale Genius. Trent is from Southern California and got into the mortgage and real estate business working for his Father’s company in 2002. After 2.5 years, Trent opened his own brokerage and to this day is an active real estate agent and manages a small team while carrying 30-50 listings at a time. Trent personally meets with each client that lists their home with Trent’s team and maintains a solid knowledge of what is going on in Real Estate and what works today to generate and convert leads into listings.
Through his experience in Real Estate, Trent has learned what his personal strengths and weaknesses are and how to accentuate the strengths while outsourcing his weaknesses to his team. This perspective allows him to give valuable insight into how other agents can make the most from their strengths too.
This gives his coaching clients and members of his training programs the advantage of seeing what is working TODAY, not just what worked 3 or 4 years ago.
